MERIDA ONE TWENTY 700 2021
The Merida One Twenty 700 Mountain Bike is a versatile dual suspension bike that is a standout trail bike. It tries to bring together the climbing ability of the Merida Ninety XC race bike with descending capabilities of the Merida One Forty all mountain bike. The light alloy frame is equipped with a 120mm Fox Performance Float DPS Rear Shock with lockout and Fox Rhythm 34 Float Fork with 130mm travel for versatile trail performance. The Float Link Rear Suspension Design moves with the system to deliver sensitive response characteristics and this really is a difference maker.
The Shimano 1x12 Speed Shimano XT/SLX Drivetrain is more than respectable with its smooth and reliable shifting given the efficient 1x setup. The Shimano SLX 7120 4 piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes are a standout when it comes to responsive braking power that allows you to properly take on the trails. The 29" tubeless ready Maxxis Disscector front/ Minions DHR II rear tyre is matched with light Merida Expert aluminium rims and together they provide a ride that is relatively smooth with a respectable blend of traction and speed. The 700 is a decent step up from the 600 with upgraded SLX brakes, a higher specs SLX/XT groupset, and Maxxis Dissector/Minion Tyres instead of Maxxis Forekaster tyres. The Merida One-Twenty 700 Dual Suspension Mountain Bike combines high-end Shimano trail spec with the right amount of travel to descend or ascend with smooth efficiency.
Float Link Rear Suspension: The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver sensitive response characteristics. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio and progression meaning a ‘Float Link’ rear suspension system appears to offer more travel than the model name suggests.
Superlite 16 Alloy: Our latest grade of aluminium (6016) enables super thin wall thicknesses whilst delivering amazing strength, ideal for demanding off-road riding and racing.
X-Taper Headtube: Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence inspiring steering.
Internal Cable: Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
Smooth Welding: Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance you will be convinced it is carbon.
Smart Entry: Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.
